Rough Weekend for the Family

My niece went to the hospital on Saturday night because she was overheating and couldn’t remember her name. It turned out that her sodium levels were way too low, causing swelling in her brain. The medical team managed to stabilize her sodium levels, and after more than a day, she regained consciousness. As you can imagine, it was a challenging weekend for her family, including us. We were all very worried about her, but we’re grateful for the doctors who provided care. She has been diagnosed with Adrenal Insufficiency, which threw her entire body out of balance and even changed the color of her skin. Once she’s discharged from the hospital, they should be able to treat her with daily medication. We can’t wait for her to go home with her family.
