We went to a picnic today with my wife’s family. But before we headed over, my youngest and I took the pups for a walk at Codorus State Park. The weather was hot today, so we didn’t want to take them for a walk around the hot asphalt. We wanted to keep us and the puppies in the shade. It was a pretty day for a hike, but all of us were feeling the heat. We were almost done with the hike when I heard my youngest fall down behind me. He tripped on one of the many roots on the trail. He bruised his hip a little bit but mainly cut up his palm pretty badly on the stones. All in all, not too bad. We got back to the car, and he washed his hand up really well when we got home. There’s always the possibility of a cut or bruise when you’re hiking.
